Hope you had an interesting birding day. According to a lot of reports, there are many who think fall migration has begun. That seems totally absurd for mid-July, but who knows? My goodness, summer is barely a month old, and fledglings are barely on their own, so why would birds start heading south already? Anyway, you may find some interesting birds who may or may not be migrating south….perhaps they never left Florida.
How did Rocky handle the thunderstorms? From what you’ve described, even I would be frightened. It sounds as though the lightning may have hit very close to where you are if the thunder was so loud….scary! Jo
