Over exposed – yes. Extra cute – maybe. Upside down – certainly! It’s a keeper!
I don’t usually get this close to a coot, but this one didn’t seem to mind!
They’re SO ugly, they’re beautiful! Well, perhaps to their parents they are?
I think this turned out to be a ‘Falcated’ duck. It’s not a native species, so it must have escaped.
A winter (thrush-like) species, the Fieldfare.
I never thought I’d stumble across a Fulmar! But I did – just the once.
A hundred Golden Plovers (with N. Lapwings, Black-headed Gulls and European Starlings).
Our Goldfinches are rather different from the less colourful (but more aptly named) Goldfinch of the US!
