A Day Passed…

Not a lot of birding news today.  I did more gardening than birding and it rained very heavily.  I did bump into the lady from the Botanical Garden and she told me she’d seen the hummingbird today and yesterday, so it hasn’t actually vanished.  Maybe I’ll see it tomorrow?  Here’s the latest Whooping Crane report…

“Migration 2012 is off to a fantastic start for the Class of 2012 and their ultralight-airplane leaders. Since starting migration four days ago, the young cranes have covered three stops and gained 47 miles. With good weather today (Day 4), all six cranes again flew the distance, reaching Stopover #4 on their first journey south. They’re now in Columbia County, Wisconsin—the final stop in Wisconsin is next!”
